SOME FACTORS WHY BMCI STANDS OUT AS A UNIQUE ORGANISATION;

Social Enterprise: BMCI’s first priority is to focus on programs that are of immediate concern/interest to the industry/society

CIME Ambassador: The promoter is Centre for International Media Ethics’ Ambassador to Bhutan and BMCI includes ethics as an essential part of learning in every kind of training.

Network: The Institute has hosted a conference on media ethics in collaboration with the Centre for International Media Ethics and conducted several trainings in collaboration with the Thomson Reuters Foundation, U.K, AFP Foundation, France, International Media Support, Denmark, UNESCO and other reputed organisations and individuals. BMCI is also a member of the AIBD (Asia Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development) and AMIC (Asian Media Information and Communication Centre).

Knowledge Partner: BMCI is ICIMOD’s official knowledge partner in Bhutan.

In addition, a network of trainers and institutes from various parts of the world is being     built through different forums.

Gender Friendly/Sensitive: BMCI is making conscious efforts towards aligning its policies, facilities curriculum and implementation of  activities in the most gender friendly manner.

(International Computer Driving Licence) ICDL Test Centre: BMCI is the country’s first International Digital Proficiency Certification Centre. This is expected to play a big role in contributing towards making Bhutan an ICT enabled knowledge based society.
